How much does each bar weigh? | Each bar typically weighs more than 5oz but please keep in mind that artisan soap, as a general practice, is not mass-produced. Therefore each bar could vary slightly in size, scent, and appearance.
What is cold-process soap? | It is a process that involves combining oils, such as olive oil, with an alkaline solution made from sodium or lye, to form a solid bar of soap. This reaction is also known as saponification.
Why does my soap look different than before? | Artisan soap, as a general practice, is not mass-produced; therefore, each bar may vary in size, scent, and look. While appearance may vary, the base ingredients are the same.
What is small batch soap? | It is the process of mixing relatively small volumes of oils with alkaline solutions to produce soap. We only produce 2-4 batches a month. So you can be confident in the care and attention that goes into each bar you get. That said, if you see something you like, we recommend getting it, as it may not be in stock for long!
Is OHENE soap organic certified? | No, however, most of the ingredients are organic certified by our wholesale distributor. Check out our ingredients list to see all the organic oils in each bar.
Is your palm oil sustainable? | Yes, it is sustainably harvested which does not further the deforestation of orangutan's natural habitat in Asia.
What makes the soap vegan? | Ohene soaps contain zero animal products. We also don’t test our soap on animals.
Is OHENE soap free of parabens and phthalates? | Yes. Ohene soap is free of parabens and phthalates and is always made with natural essential oils, instead of artificial perfumes and fragrances.
Which soaps are best for sensitive skin? | Our PURE, / Aloe, Geranium, Eucalyptus, / and African Black soap are customer favorites for their gentle cleansing ability and high moisture content.
At Ohene, we use the highest quality ingredients we can get our hands on. Our artisan soaps are handmade from scratch, with a balanced blend of skin-hydrating pure vegetable oils, which include coconut, sustainably harvested palm, extra virgin olive oil and vitamin E-packed sunflower oil. For an added layer of moisture and nourishment, we infuse a generous amount of fair trade unrefined shea and cocoa butter. By reducing scar, blemishes, wrinkles and blocking harmful UV rays, nutrient-rich shea and cocoa butter are essential to softening, protecting and restoring skin to its healthy natural state.

How much does shipping cost? | Currently, we ship within the domestic United States. When you place an order, the shipping fee options are made available by dropping down the field. Shipping rates are a flat fee or free if orders meet or exceed minimum threshold.
Orders are typically packaged within 7 business days and shipped shortly thereafter, Monday - Friday, following a completed purchase. We realize sometime you need your skin fix in a pinch. To accommodate, please select the expedited shipping option to get your O•HEN•E sooner than our standard turnaround.
- Standard: 7-day pull & package time +3-day shipping via USPS or UPS is $8.00, or FREE on orders =/+ $75.
- Expedited: 3-day pull & package time + 2-day shipping via USPS or UPS is $29.
What is the return policy? | Please cancel any orders by emailing us email@example.com within 24 hours of payment. For received goods, please contact us prior to returning. Due to the nature of our products, goods can only be returned in the original unopened package in the same condition as when received. Refunds for goods damaged while not in our care are nonrefundable. Returns of un-opened goods may be refunded or exchanged upon receipt of the goods in their original condition. The customer is responsible for paying shipping return fees.
What should I do if my order is damaged or lost? | You’re encouraged to ensure your address is correct during checkout. Also, ship where your order will be secured or collected upon arrival. We also encourage you to consider adding the package insurance at checkout to ensure that your order is protected. If any problems occur with your shipment (loss/damage) we ask that you contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org so we may help.

By purchasing Optional Shipping Insurance, at checkout your order is protected. You will receive a full refund if your package is confirmed lost by the carrier, or you have evidence of theft or failed or improper delivery. Without coverage, OHENE cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages or delivery errors. If you prefer to ship uninsured deselect the insurance option at checkout.

COVID-19 Shipping Concerns |
As a result of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, and the added volume of packages in the mail system - especially during holiday seasons package delivery delays have increased due to limited staff & transportation availability. In rare cases, packages go missing. If you have reason to believe your package was stolen or incorrectly delivered, please file an insurance claim if you purchased package protection.
